Summary
Applictus helps you track job applications. If you connect Gmail, Applictus reads message information to identify job-related events and build your dashboard. We try to store only what we need to provide the service.
What We Collect
- Account information: email address, name (optional), and authentication method.
- Gmail connection data: OAuth tokens used to access your mailbox (stored encrypted, if encryption is enabled) and the connected email address.
- Email information used for tracking: fields like sender, subject, snippet, timestamps, and message identifiers needed for deduping and status inference.
- Extracted application data: company, role/title, and status signals inferred from your messages and related explanations.
What Gmail Access Looks Like
When you connect Gmail, Applictus may access message content needed to detect job-related signals (for example: sender, subject, snippet, and—when necessary—message body text). We use this to:
- Create application records and update statuses (e.g., “Applied”, “Interview requested”, “Rejected”).
- Prevent duplicates by tracking message identifiers.
- Show you why an update was inferred (where supported).
Note: Applictus is designed to process messages automatically. We do not sell your email data. If we ever need to inspect data to help you troubleshoot an issue, we’ll ask for your permission first.
How We Use Your Data
- Provide the dashboard and application tracking features.
- Sync your mailbox (when connected) to detect and classify job-related messages.
- Maintain reliability and security (dedupe, fraud/abuse prevention, and debugging).
Retention
We retain tracking data while your account is active. If you disconnect Gmail, Applictus will stop reading your mailbox. Some previously extracted tracking data may remain in your account unless you request deletion.
Security
- We use secure transport (HTTPS) in production.
- OAuth tokens are stored encrypted when encryption is enabled.
- Access to your data is tied to your authenticated session.
Third-Party Services
- Google OAuth / Gmail: used to authenticate and read permitted mailbox data.
- Hosting provider: runs the Applictus service.
- Database provider: stores your account and application tracking data.
Your Controls
- Disconnect Gmail from the Account page at any time.
- Log out to clear your session on this device.
- If account/data deletion is not available in-app yet, contact us and we’ll help.

Using Applictus

Gmail Connection
- When you connect Gmail, Applictus accesses permitted mailbox data to detect job-related signals and build your dashboard.
- You can disconnect at any time from the Account page.
Disclaimers
- The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
- Inferences may be incorrect; always verify important details yourself.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Applictus will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues.
Acceptable Use
- No abuse, reverse engineering, automated scraping, or attempts to bypass security controls.
- No interference with the service (spam, denial-of-service, or excessive load).
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe your use violates these terms or harms the service. You can stop using Applictus at any time.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll make a reasonable effort to notify you. The “Last updated” date will reflect the latest version.
